Korean Inspired Dramatic winged eyeliner Part 1

image

The Koreans are forever sporting a flawless face, immaculately groomed brows and eyeliner. However, the last time I posted a Korean eyeliner tutorial, it was a time of tight lining, clean lines, super natural looking eyes.

It’s time for some updating and the Koreans have revamped the simple eyeliner look for a bolder, fatter more winged out look as seen on Lee Hyori above! 2NE1 spot many different versions of the thicker winged eyeliner look as well and I think it flatters Asian eyes really well! Not to mention, it makes Asian eyes look much sexier!

Here’s the first of  my interpretation of the latest Korean eyeliner look. It’s slightly thinner and less black but I was going out and had to keep it wearable and less intense. The next Korean eyeliner inspired look that’s coming up soon  will definitely be bolder, extended further and much much blacker!

Remember to use GEL EYELINER for this Korean Inspired look because it’s easier to control and the Korean eyeliner look is best achieved with a Gel Eyeliner. It’s not as defined as a liquid liner ( better for Japanese Looks) and sharper than a pencil liner.

Natural Everyday Lashes

IMG_1484

I received these lashes from kkcenterhk within 2 weeks and was really excited to try them. These lashes are made in Korea so I knew they had to be pretty good. I chose 2 ES lashes and 1 Ballerina lashes and I have a hot favorite amongst them!

1) ES A715

IMG_1493

These lashes are easy to apply and give very nice emphasis to the eyes. The lash band is perfect – not too thin or thick and it isn’t too hard or soft. Application is the easiest of all three lashes I am reviewing today and I find these lashes great for that fun flirty look as it has a very pretty curl. My hubby liked these lashes on me a lot – so if you are going on a hot date, these lashes would look so good with some sparkly white eye shadow and eyeliner. Second favorite of the 3 I am reviewing today!!

2) ES A747

These were my least favorite lashes. Lash band was ok but the lashes look fake and artificial. They looked like I took a pair of scissors and cut them !!  Also the color of the lash band was almost invisible which isn’t to my liking for upper lashes. They always get longer towards the corners but I found that it looks very unnatural.

3) Ballerina eyelash CM 409

My personal favorite & highly recommended. Packaging is prettier than ES box. Plus these lashes lean towards the dramatic natural look & add enough oomph to the eyes at the same time. The band is very thin and black which I like for upper lashes as it blends in nicely with the lashes. Overall, application isn’t as easy as the other ES models above but with frequent practice, it can get easier! I used dollywink lash glue which helps a lot because it dispenses a very fine amount of glue which is perfect for the very fine lash band.

Overall, I recommend the ballerina range of lashes and I would reorder CM 409 too!!

More Cute Makeup ~ Pop Sister Jan 2011

I love the makeup of Pop Sister models – It’s natural but not too natural looking ( if u know what I mean). Going natural to me is more like adopting a Korean style, while the Japanese are masters at using makeup to express different looks, trends and emotions.

Anyways added in a smokey eye look cause it looks hawt too!

Dolly Wink No. 6 Baby Cute

no6

Everything about Dolly Wink is so cute. It helps that the quality of the lashes are super too. I don’t vouch for crappy lashes because I know just how uncomfortable they are when worn and how difficult they can be to apply.

IMG_1384

Tsubasa Masawara line of lashes are fantastic and DollyWink eyelash glue is so so good. I had no problems applying it. No ugly dried glue bits. No terrible cheap smells. Some people might think these lashes are a little pricy but I have shu uemura ones and they don’t feel half as comfortable or look as good as DollyWinks.

IMG_1382

I was inspired by Tsubasa dolly eye makeup ( her makeup is immaculate!) and used no.6 Baby cute bottom lashes ~ It was so easy to put on even though there are 6 different pieces and I kinda exaggerated it a little too much by placing it pretty far away from my lower lash line. I’m not too good yet at applying lower lash line falsies but once I get the hang of it, I’ll post another pic k! so pardon the overly dolly look babes Smile Just trying to show u how awesome the dolly wink lashes are!
