Sandra Bullock, Kate Middleton, Lady GaGa Are Personalities of 2010

Sandra Bullock, Kate Middleton and Lady GaGa have been named on Parade magazine's first annual Personalities of the Year list. Bullock dominated headlines in early 2010 when she took home a Best Actress Academy Award for her role in "The Blind Side", while just days later it was revealed her husband Jesse James had cheated on her.

She bounced back from the scandal by revealing she had secretly become a mother to adopted baby Louis in January and Parade editors have applauded the star for her strength during the breakdown of her relationship.

Middleton, who became engaged to Prince William in October and will wed at London's Westminster Abbey in April, Lady GaGa and "Glee" actress Jane Lynch were also feted by Parade in the list, which features in Sunday's edition.

Bret Michaels, who has overcome a series of health setbacks this year, also makes the rundown. The Poison rocker underwent an emergency appendectomy before collapsing from a near-fatal brain haemorrhage in April, and later suffered a stroke. He was subsequently diagnosed with a hole in his heart.

Lady GaGa and Taylor Swift Are Billboard's Artists of the Year

From becoming a hot newbie, Lady GaGa has now taken home the title of Artist of the Year. Handed Rising Star Award at Billboard's Women In Music Awards in 2009 and named Top New Artist at the end of the year, the outlandish singer made a move from "new" to "top" only in a year.

She is the only artist who made the fast move since Chris Brown snatched both titles concurrently in 2006. She followed the footsteps of fellow singer Whitney Houston who was named Top New Artist in 1985 and then switched to Artist of the Year the following year.

GaGa received the honor due to the success of her two albums "The Fame" and "The Fame Monster" which both broke the Top 5 of weekly Billboard Hot 200. Additionally, the effort was ranked at No. 4 and 13 respectively in the year-end albums list, and four of her singles appear in Hot 100 Songs roundup with "Bad Romance" leading at No. 8.

Following GaGa as No. 2 Artist of the Year is none other than young country music beauty Taylor Swift. The Big Machine artist has two albums "Fearless" and "Speak Now" on the Top 10 of the year-end Billboard 200 list. The 2009 best-selling album is sitting at No. 7, while record breaker "Speak Now" is securing the ninth place.

Now that GaGa is no longer the Top New Artist, Billboard gives the title to Ke$ha. Her dance track "Tik Tok", which spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the weekly Hot 100 chart, is named Song of the Year, leading the year-end list of Hot 100 Songs roundup.

2010 Top Artists list:
  1. Lady GaGa
  2. Taylor Swift
  3. Eminem
  4. Lady Antebellum
  5. Ke$ha
  6. Usher
  7. Black Eyed Peas
  8. Justin Bieber
  9. Rihanna
  10. Drake

Eight Wax Figures of Lady GaGa Unveiled Around the World

Lady GaGa's fans can get up close and personal with their idol now that her eight wax figures are displayed at Madame Tussauds museums around the world. On December 9, Madame Tussauds in London, Berlin, New York, Las Vegas, Hollywood, Amsterdam, Shanghai and Hong Kong simultaneously unveiled the wax models which each has different looks.

London's version of GaGa's figure is dressed in a Giorgio Armani suit accessorized with Rococo coiffed hair and a Philip Treacy hat in the shape of a telephone which she wore in the England's capital earlier this year. Berlin's version sports a black revealing outfit added with knee-high boots and sunglasses.

The wax in New York wears a black see-through net dress and has her blonde locks splayed out into a huge sun-hat teamed. The one in Madame Tussauds museum at The Venetian Resort Casino in Las Vegas has her dressed in a tight one-shouldered leather outfit with huge platform shoes.
GaGa's wax figure in Shanghai wears a short black Orchel-Read trousers with black top, thigh-high patent boots and black lightning stripe make up over one eye. Hong Kong's version is dressed in a black Marjan Pejoski body suit with oversized black neck fuff and sleek, super straight platinum hair. In Amsterdam, her wax figure is seen in a nude bodysuit, a white blazer and a towering purple beehive.

Lady GaGa's 'Digital Life Sacrifice' Campaign Struggling to Raise Money

Star-studded "Digital Life Sacrifice" campaign to raise money for Alicia Keys' Keep a Child Alive reportedly is struggling to meet its $1,000,000 goal. By Thursday, December 2 at 7:30 P.M. EST, it gained only around $180,950, according to The Wrap.

When this fund-raising effort, which includes Lady GaGa, was first announced, people behind the cause were confident that it would get a casket full of cash in short time since GaGa alone has more than 7.2 million followers on Twitter. On December 3, the singer reminded her Little Monsters that she needs help to be back on the digital world, tweeting "Lady GaGa is still dead. Text GAGA to 90999 and donate $10 to help children fighting HIV/AIDS."

According to the publication, the campaign has two fundamental problems. First, the amount of donation, $10 minimum, is too high. The second problem is by withdrawing from any online activities, they have lost an enormous amount of social media marketing.

Alicia Keys leads such celebrities as Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake,Usher, Ryan Seacrest and Jennifer Hudson to sacrifice their digital life starting December 1 on World AIDS Day. Fans are asked to buy their life back by visiting BuyLife.org or texting a celeb's name to 90999. All proceeds will benefit effort to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa and India and help the victims in those countries. And when $1,000,000 is reached, everyone will be back online and tweeting in no time.

Video: Lady GaGa Continues Fighting 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Policy

Lady GaGa has stepped up her bid to force U.S. politicians to repeal the military's controversial 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy regarding gay servicemen and women, urging lawmakers to stand up and fight against "discrimination". The "Poker Face" hitmaker has been a leading voice in the battle to allow homosexuals and bisexuals to serve openly in the armed forces and vowed to continue the campaign after the U.S. Senate voted against debating a new bill on the topic in September.

The opportunity was blocked by a Republican-led filibuster, but a report on the effects of ending the ban is due to be presented to senators on Wednesday, December 1 and GaGa has made a last-ditch attempt to appeal to their better natures.

In a two-minute video posted on YouTube.com on Monday (29Nov10), she says, "The Senate needs to get this bill passed this year to repeal 'Don't Ask Don't Tell', otherwise it can take years for it to happen. We have to end this law because it reinforces discrimination and it's setting a bad example. We've known for many years that an overwhelming majority of Americans are ready to repeal."

Sending a message directly to lawmakers, she then adds, "You said you would debate and address this law when the Pentagon returned with a strategy and tomorrow morning you will have it. So will you keep your word?"

Lady GaGa Got Anderson Cooper So Drunk in Interview

U.S. newsman Anderson Cooper will never forget interviewing Lady GaGa in London - because she got him so drunk on whisky he struggled to question her. The journalist jetted around the world to chat with the pop superstar on her Monster Ball tour, and got to socialite with the "Poker Face" hitmaker when she was off duty.

But he admits their personal chats hampered his professionalism - because she plied him with booze while he tried to quiz her on her life. Cooper tells The Insider, "I was really interested to meet Lady GaGa. She's obviously a fascinating person."

"We actually ended up (one) day in a pub in London drinking Jameson, which I don't really drink. So, she got me to drink like two of them, and by the end I was ready to have the interview be over because I really sort of couldn't ask any more questions."

Chris Brown and Lady GaGa Reportedly Got Snubbed by AMAs

Just few hours after the 38th Annual American Music Awards ended, rumor swirled on the web suggesting that there was something shady about Usher winning Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist and Justin Bieber receiving Artist of the Year. According to reports, the real winners to those coveted awards were Chris Brown and Lady GaGa.

Brown reportedly got the most votes for Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist, but ABC decided to give it to Usher instead either because of his absence or his last year's domestic violence issue with ex-girlfriend Rihanna. An insider from Neon Limelight revealed that "teleprompter backstage had Chris' name on it!" and "it even said he couldn't be there to accept!"

Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist had Usher, Chris Brown and Trey Songz as contenders. While Brown was robbed from bringing the title home, RiRi got her Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist prize that November 21 night after a tight battle against Alicia Keys and Sade.

As for GaGa, the Mother Monster was supposed to be crowned Artist of the Year because she allegedly topped her competitors Bieber, Eminem, Ke$ha and Katy Perry. Her manager Troy Carter  sent a message to his friend Israel Hernandez, "They said that we won in votes. They gave it to Justin because he was there."

GaGa indeed was absent at the event because she had to stay in Europe for a number of Monster Ball concerts. The same thing also happened at the European Music Awards earlier this month, but she still got the trophy and even thanked fans via satellite. Aside from the rumored snub, she still got one prize for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist at the AMAs, beating Perry and Ke$ha.
