Selena Gomez: Breakfast With Justin Bieber Was 'Innocent'

Selena Gomez has brushed off fresh rumors she's romancing teen sensation Justin Bieber, insisting the 'date' they were spotted on was an "innocent" breakfast. Gomez and the "Baby" hitmaker sparked speculation they are a couple on Wednesday, December 8 when they were seen enjoying breakfast together at the International House of Pancakes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The pair has been at the center of romance gossip over the last year - but Gomez insists they are just friends. She tells MTV News, "It was pancakes. Who doesn't like pancakes? We were both performing in the same place so we went and had pancakes together. That's all it is. All innocent."

Gomez however did not address why they left the place holding hands and whether the employee's testimony that they were very affectionate inside the eatery was true or not.

Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and More Hit Z100's Jingle Ball Red Carpet

Z100's Jingle Ball 2010 presented by H&M has been kicked off on Friday, December 10 at Madison Square Garden in New York City with a number of big stars in attendance. Fresh from their dating rumor, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber made appearances that night, but they hit the red carpet separately.

Backstage, the Canadian singer was even spotted posing next to Kim Kardashian. Selena herself might take the chance to get closer with her idol Enrique Iglesias, who came in sporty style, as she recently dished that she loves him and hoped to meet him.

Also gracing the red carpet of the star-studded concert were Taio Cruz, Jay Sean, Jeremy Davis, Hayley Williams and Taylor York of Paramore, DJ Pauly D of "Jersey Shore", Bruno Mars and Michael Buble among others.

Later that night, the audience at the venue were entertained by live performances from the likes of Selena, Justin, Bruno and B.o.B. Kim also appeared on stage and greeted the audience, while the whole show was led by host Elvis Duran.

Pictures: Adam Lambert, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Rock Jingle Ball

A number of celebrities came to New Jersey on Wednesday, December 8 to celebrate the holiday with their fans in Q102 Jingle Ball concert. Adam Lambert, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber sent the crowd into a frenzy when they came out on stage for live performances.

Lambert catered concertgoers flocking the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden with eight songs, including "Sleepwalker". Before proceeding with Grammy-nominated single "Whataya Want From Me", he took a minute to "brag," saying "I'm gonna brag for a minute because it feels real good to say. Because of this song, I just got nominated for a Grammy! And I appreciate it. I'm very honored."

Disney sweetheart Gomez, who did KIIS-FM Jingle Ball in Los Angeles before coming to New Jersey, heated up the concert with her own songs such as "Round Round". Rocking a white bedazzled bustier with matching pants and flats, she bounced up and down and even went barefooted at some points during her set.

Gomez's rumored boyfriend Bieber, meanwhile, decked black ensemble when singing his songs before passing the mic to Lambert. The Canadian pop star, who was spotted holding hand with the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star when grabbing a bite at IHOP, invited a female fan to the stage, serenaded and gave her a big bouquet of roses.

The other performers that night included Charice, Flo Rida, Train, Jesse McCartney, The Script and Cody Simpson.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Left IHOP Holding Hands

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez performed at Q102 Jingle Ball on Wednesday, December 8 to a screaming crowd, but what happened hours before that would make their fans scream louder. The two stopped by International House of Pancakes to have some breakfast just the two of them and left the spot hand in hand.

Inside the eatery, IHOP's "good folks" told TMZ that Bieber and Gomez also held hands and looked "cuddly" while sitting on the same side of a booth. While what happened inside IHOP is still questionable, TMZ has the proof that they indeed held hands as they left the place.

Gomez has in the past denied that they are dating, saying they are both busy. But that didn't stop her from having the Bieber fever. She said at the KIIS FM Jingle Ball in L.A. this past weekend, "I love Justin. I'd do anything for the kid." Bieber himself admitted in February this year, "I think Selena Gomez is pretty, but I don't like her. I think she is cute. I think she is a cutie."
