Goo Hara Inspired Look

image

Goo Hara from Kara has one of the most baby doll faces I’ve seen in the Kpop world. Whether of not she’s had work done is really of no interest to me because if she did, she’s got a fantastic plastic surgeon and if she didn’t, the world’s not fair. I love her baby doll makeup with simple emphasis on eye lining and strong brown brows. Her lips aren’t overly nude and has a hint of pink sheen to it.Red heart

Here’s my take on it. Just getting those thick brows took me a long time to draw, blend, clean up and draw again. Thick brows are a must have for any Korean Inspired Look, so laboring over them is well worth it!

Untitled 111

I  shaded my nose somewhat to give an illusion of sharper features. Also, I highlighted down the center of my forehead and nose as well as cupid’s bow for added dimension. Face is kept clean and minimal and lips were kissed with MAC’s Lip Glass in Culture Clash.Untitled 114

That’s it for Goo hara inspired look. She’s got a lot more looks that I’m digging, so come back for more if you love her Smile

miss A’s Suzy causes 2PM’s Taecyeon to be jealous

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJBfug2XwDMendofvid

[starttext]

Love stories between drama characters are always engaging to watch, but what happens when people try to translate them into the real world?

A new romantic fandom was created on December 4th after an interesting incident occurred during the “Dream High” cast interview with “Entertainment Relay“.

During the interview, it was revealed that miss A’s Suzy plays the love interest of both 2PM’s Taecyeon and Kim Soo Hyun. Attempting to bridge the gap between fiction and reality, the reporter asked Suzy, “Between Taecyeon and Kim Soo Hyun, which one of them is closest to your ideal man?”

Suzy, after much hesitation, chose Kim Soo Hyun, causing Taecyeon to burst out of his seat in a fit of jealousy. Taecyeon sputtered, “Normally people don’t choose, but she really chose!”

Castmate Lee Yoon Ji laughingly added, “This is the first time I saw an actress actually choose. Normally, people say ‘both’ or ‘I like this person for this and that person for that.‘”

Suzy shyly attempted to conclude the segment by stating, “I really had a hard time choosing!”

Fangirls are probably typing away furiously at ‘Taecyeon x Suzy’ fanfictions at this very moment.

Brown Eyed Soul releases MV for “If It’s the Same”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um9-QtVrpZsendofvid

The kings of the Korean R&B scene recently declared their comeback after a three year hiatus with the release of their self-titled third album. Indeed, the album’s been out for a few weeks now, but they’ve finally released the music video for their title track, “If It’s the Same“, today.

Member Na-Ul’s girlfriend, actress Han Hye Jin, was featured in the music video, demonstrating her support for the group.

Brown Eyed Soul’s agency, Santa Music, revealed on December 3rd, “Han Hye Jin wanted to celebrate her boyfriend’s new album after a three year hiatus by featuring in the music video. All of the members of Brown Eyed Soul welcomed her.”

Check out the MV below!

We’re not quite sure what the story is here, but if we were to take stab at symbolism and surmising, we’d say that perhaps Han Hye Jin’s character is lost in the fog of her memories of men and the pain she’s inflicted upon them. Yes, no? Let us know your take on this interesting music video!

G★Star 2010 Video Goodness

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa2Rdy-x-Xkendofvid

[starttext]

I haven’t had time to look around for too many G★Star 2010 videos, so luckily Zealand13 linked me to a 14 min video that seems to cover a lot of girls. Feel free to leave other YouTube links of G★Star 2010 if you’d like to share any.

Most importantly at 9:03 mark, is the best girl at G★Star 2010 doing the cutest poses ever (although it would seem that about 85% of you would disagree). I would find it impossible to go to another booth if she was doing those poses all day…I would just set up a tripod and film her for as long as she stood there.

Thanks to Zealand13 for the tip.

Trailer for “The Last Godfather” ft Wonder Girls cameo released

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSNoCOO6lCEendofvid

[starttext]
Way back in May this year, it was announced that the Wonder Girls would be making a cameo in the upcoming movie The Last Godfather (The Dumb Mafia, 라스트 갓파더). Fast forward a few months into the post-production stage and the official trailer for this film has been released!

Directed by Shim Hyung Rae (the comedian-turned-filmmaker behind the 1999 Yonggary remake and D-War in 2007, the most expensive movie in Korean history) and written by Shim and revised by Joel Cohen (an Oscar-nominated film writer who worked on the original Toy Story, Cheaper by the Dozen and Evan Almighty), The Last Godfather is a collaborative effort of a team from both Korea and the United States that was filmed in Los Angeles this spring.

A comedic remake of the 1972 original The Godfather by Francis Ford Coppola, Shim Hyung Rae himself stars as Yonggu, the mentally impaired son of a mafia boss of New York’s biggest gang. The plot details are yet unclear, but with a Korean starring in an slapstick comedy set in the 50’s, The Last Godfather presents an intriguing set of dynamics that Hollywood does not normally see.

According to a Star News interview with a CJ Entertainment representative, the Wonder Girls had been contacted by Shim’s team for the special cameo appearance because the quintet’s retro concept for Nobody matched the 1950’s setting of the movie so well. This film’s US release in 2011 will serve as an extra push for the Girls who are currently promoting in the States.

Check out the trailer yourself below; the Wonder Girls make a brief appearance at 1:05!

Thus far, the reaction on the official trailer has been generally positive. “Shim is giving all [he's] got,” one viewer expressed on Youtube. ”I admire his courage. He had this dream that he would make movies in Hollywood someday since he was very young. We should support him and [not] be embarrassed. If it’s not funny so what? At least he tried.” Another user commented, “I have high expectations now, Shim fits gag comedy well. This looks like it’ll be better than [Shim's last film] D-War.”

Aside from Shim Hyung Rae and the Wonder Girls, the cast list also features Harvey Keitel (Pulp Fiction, Thelma and Louise, The Piano, Life on Mars), Blake Clark (50 First Dates, Toy Story 3, The Waterboy, The Mask) and Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks I and II).

The Last Godfather is set to be released in Korea on the 30th and in 2011 in the United States.
