Katie Price’s night out with Amir Khan sparks marriage crisis rumours

 Glamour model Katie Price has sparked fresh marriage crisis rumours after heading to Las Vegas to watch boxer Amir Khan’s fight and later joining him for dinner.

The 32-year-old went to watch Khan’s fight after her hubby Alex Reid apparently had a wild night with Wag Lizzie Cundy.

Angered Price jetted from LA to Vegas to see Khan defend his WBA light-welterweight title this weekend.

The model cooed at the fighter from the side of the ring, making sure she stood out to him with her striking new blonde hairdo.

And she said: “Bring it on”, vowing to keep in touch with the boxer.

Sources said they both have grown close since they met while filming a TV show this year.

“In Vegas and watched Amir Khan fight with gary phil lara AMAZING he did so well and he has such a great family so supportive xx,” the Daily Star quoted her as writing on Twitter.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the model said, Price “likes him” but insisted the two are “just friends” and that their relationship is platonic. (ANI)

Anurag Basu is a filmmaker, who has an eye for new talents and he has done it again for his next venture Barfee, which stars big stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. They were looking for another girl to play the second heroine in the film.

Initially, the role was offered to Asin and then to Deepika Padukone. Asin did not accept because of money issue and Deepika had obvious reasons, for the male lead!  Anurag saw the pictures of South Indian actress Ileana D’Cruz, who debuted in 2006 Telugu film Devadasu. Basu then showed the pictures to Ranbir, who looked her immediately and said that Illeana had the kind of delicacy and grace like Deepika.

In this way, the 23-year-old South Indian star Illeana got her first Bollywood break. Anurag met the actress and her mother and things got finalized in few days. He elaborated them about Illeana’s role in Barfee and also made it clear that Priyanka Chopra will be playing the other leading lady. Illeana, who has already grabbed the lead role in Tamil remake of 3 idiots, will have to get her Hindi diction right before she faces camera for Barfee.

So, we can expect another South Indian actress making her way to Bollywood after Asin and Genelia. Hope she becomes as successful as them!

Sanjay Dutt Turns God For Ajay Devgn’s ‘Toonpur Ka Superrhero’!

 Friendship among Bollywood stars is very rare in the industry and some friendships just break in a while. But the friendship between Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt is a very rare kind of one, which has remained strong throughout these years and survived all ups and downs.

We have seen Sanjay Dutt in a cameo role of Ajay Devgn’s film Raju Chacha in 2000. Then, the two actors were seen working together in the multi-starrer movie LOC Kargil and All The Best in 2009. Both Sanjay and Ajay share a great rapport so Sanjay signed All The Best for Ajay. Devgn returned this favor by giving enough dates for Dutt’s home production Rascals.

Shah Rukh Khan Enthralls Dhaka Fans, Forgets To Promote Sundarban’s Mangrove Forests

 Bollywood King Khan Shah Rukh Khan received a grand welcome in Dhaka when he performed there along with colleagues Rani Mukerji and Arjun Rampal. SRK was there to perform at the show ‘King Khan Live in Dhaka’ and he was supposed to campaign to make Sundarban’s mangrove forests as one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

However, the adulation by the audience was so lucrative that King Khan probably forgot about the serious job! Shah Rukh even greeted the fans in Bengali saying that he has brought good wishes from India to this nation of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who was the founding leader of Bangladesh. SRK performed on his popular numbers like ‘Dard-e–disco’ and ‘Shava Shava’.

Rani, who is a Bengali, thrilled the audience when he started speaking in Bengali. She also performed on her hit tracks like ‘Hum Tum. ‘Saathiya’ and ‘Shava Shava’.

When both Rani and SRK charmed the Bengali audience in Dhaka, Arjun Rampal was also not left behind. He made a dramatic entry on a motorbike and yelled to the audience in his broken Bengali. The handsome actor said that he has come to Dhaka even when he is not keeping well. He is here so that his fans in the country are not left disappointed.

Earlier, the organizers of the show claimed that Shah Rukh will promote the mangrove forests of Sunderban but it was not done. So, is it done intentionally or Shah Rukh really forgot about it? The answer is only with the organizers or King Khan himself!

Amitabh Bachchan: Endorsing The Campaign Of ‘Save Our Tiger Telethon’ On TV

 Amitabh Bachchan, the megastar of Bollywood leaves no stone unturned in whatever project he lends his hands to. Thus, it was on Sunday, the 12th of December that Big B was spotted in front of the TV cameras sitting right in the heart of the Pench Tiger Reserve in MP along with the two of television’s most popular figures – Dr Pranoy Roy and Vikram Chandra.

The ‘Save our Tiger Telethon’ was an effort to bring about awareness to save our tigers from extinction and facing a total wipe out from our planet. According to official reports, there are only about 3, 200 tigers left in the wild all over the world and India which was considered to be the ideal home of the wild beast has now only a few left in its wild life count of the species.

Thus, the effort to bring about awareness was initiated by the joint effort of NDTV and the mobile service provider Aircel, which was indeed a great success. The live show began at 11AM and it had contributions from various sources.

Many political figures also came in to lend their support. There were discussions and a strategic plan was said to be soon laid out in this project with top politicians to meet in the next three months to bring about a great change in the changing environmental patterns, thereby making an effort to promote more greenery and forests to enable the tiger to multiply in its natural habitat.

With various contributions made, an astounding total of Rs. 4, 86, 68,932 was collected during the twelve-hour live program. Many top artists from the musical world came in to lend their support too and there were live singing on the spot shows aired, which added a lot of zing to the show for a great cause. The most impressive part was the participation of many school children and forest officers who came forward to spread awareness about the importance of tigers in our existence in this planet.

There are 34 RRT’S or Rapid Response Teams to be set up with the money collected to help the project tiger to become fruitful in the near future!

Akshay, Katrina promote ‘Tees Maar Khan’ in Ahmedabad

 

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif promoted ‘Tees Maar Khan’ in Ahmedabad.

Director Farah Khan was also present on the occasion.

Akshay Kumar said he has a connection of heart with the people of Gujarat.

“I have come to Gujarat and I come here four times in a year. I want to tell you that all my movies, which were released, have been successful in Gujarat. My first movie, ‘Saugandh’ was only a hit in Gujarat,” said Kumar.

“I have a connection of heart with the people of Gujarat. Whenever any of my film is released, I always come to Gujarat with the producer,” he added.

Katrina Kaif said Gujarat has been a lucky place for her as every time she has come to this state to promote her film, that film has been a big success and she hopes the same this time.

“It’s very nice to be here. I have come here for quite a lot of my films and I think last was ‘Rajneeti’. So, it’s also been a very lucky place for me. Every time we have come here, the films have been successful,” said Kaif.

“I even look at the response of the people, it’s really amazing. Its very nice to see and I think its one of the high points of the promotion of the films to come here,” she added.

Director Farah Khan said the movie is an entertaining one and both Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are looking different this time from what they look in their other movies.

“The specialty of the film is that it is very entertaining. I believe in big, over the top, big movies. The songs of this movie are a big hit. Akshay and Katrina are looking very different form their other movies that they have done,” said Khan.

Akshay Kumar recalls his Kolkata connection

 

 Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar Saturday revealed his old Kolkata connection: He once worked in a travel agency in central Kolkata in the early 1980s.

‘I want to share something with you guys. I have an old connection with this city (Kolkata) and I love it. During early 1983-84 I used to work in a travel agency in New Market area of Kolkata,’ Akshay told mediapersons here.

He said he felt proud and nostalgic whenever he came to the metropolis.

‘Earlier I used to work at a small place in Kolkata. And today I am sitting before you guys, in front of so many cameras. I really feel very proud,’ said an emotional Akshay, who was in the city for the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Tees Maar Khan’.

The actor, who made his film debut in 1991 in the Raj Sippy directed ‘Saugandh’, has now established himself as one of the leading actors of B-town.

Katrina says she has no marriage plans

  Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif says she has no plans to tie the knot right now, but feels that marriage is a cute thing.

‘I don’t have any plans. But I think marriage is one of the cute things. You have to leave it in god’s hand,’ said Katrina, who was here Saturday with her co-star Akshay Kumar for the promotion of their upcoming movie ‘Tees Maar Khan’.

Katrina, who is on cloud nine after the grand success of her previous film ‘Raajneeti’, has already established herself as one of the leading actresses of Bollywood.

Her sizzling item song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ in ‘Tees Maar Khan’ directed by Farah Khan is already a hit.

When the question about Katrina’s marriage was popped to Akshay, he shot back: ‘Why do you want her to get married? She is a very talented actress. She is making her career. Let her make it.’

College to celebrate Dilip Kumar birthday

 The G.N. Khalsa College here will Saturday celebrate the 88th birthday of veteran actor Dilip Kumar, one of its oldest students.

On Saturday, students will donate 88 bottles of blood. A college hall will be named after the actor, college principal Ajit Singh told IANS.

The actor will not be present at the celebrations. A group of students and teachers will visit the actor’s residence to honour him with the title of ‘Patron Alumnus’.

‘Dilip Sa’ab was very happy with the idea when I told him,’ Singh added.

Known as the Tragedy King of Bollywood, Dilip Kumar is known for classics like ‘Devdas’, ‘Madhumati’, ‘Naya Daur’ and mangnum opus ‘Mughal-e-Azam’. Later he featured in character roles in ‘Karma’, ‘Shakti’ and ‘Saudagar’.

The Padma Bhushan and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner took retirement in 1998. His last release was ‘Qila’. He lives here with his actress wife Saira Banu.

‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ And ‘No Problem’ To Hit The Screens On 10th Of December

The 10th of December will witness two big banner films releasing with a big splash. Yash Raj films will have the light comedy Band Baaja Baaraat coming up which has Anushka Sharma and the new comer Ranveer Singh as the two protagonists.

The other movie releasing is Anees Bazmi’s No Problem, which has a host of Bollywood greats like Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and many more playing pivotal roles. No Problem too, is a great movie with the most amazing script and full of situational comedy that promises to be a great treat for the audiences.

The question that is being asked is that, will the two big banner films be able to compete with each other? Will both be able to sustain itself as a great entertainer? Will the release of both comedy flicks hamper proper business prospects for each other? And many such business oriented questions. The answers to these questions are indeed quite a mouthful.

The possibilities are of course limited, but considering the fact that the two movies are extremely light hearted family oriented films, chances are that both just might click and sway the box office collections to a great height. Both films have quite bright chances of making huge collections at the box office with the festive season round the corner and most schools getting into the holiday mode, this just might be the winning prospect for both Band Baaja Baaraat and No Problem- if they do make it to the theatres together on the 10th of December.

Yana Gupta Offered Rs 1 Crore For Naked Shoot

India’s item girls does not need to go a long way to grab attention now. Yana Gupta has made the hard work easier for them. Yana is now reportedly being offered a whopping one crore deal by a foreign magazine. The offer, if accepted, will make Yana shed all her clothes, and be the USP of that edition of the magazine.

SRK goes solo for ‘Koffee With Karan’

After inviting deadly combination of filmstars for his celebrity talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’, filmmaker Karan Johar has decided to devote an entire episode to his good friend, superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

‘…shooting with SRK tomorrow…him solo! An indepth ‘Koffee…’ chat about everything!!!’ Karan posted on his Twitter page.

The two have worked together on all of Johar’s directorial ventures, including ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ and ‘My Name is Khan’. It will be interesting to see what he drills Shah Rukh about.

Johar usually chats on the show with two celebrities. He has already had some snazzy question and answer rounds with guests like Imran Khan-Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor-Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor. He has also shot for the show with megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his daughter Shweta Nanda, apart from Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Akshay Kumar’s son next ‘Khiladi’ in making?

Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar’s son Aarav seems to be walking in his father’s footsteps already! The eight-year-old bagged three medals at a Karate tournament Monday.

‘I’m the proudest dad in India today! My son just won three medals in his annual Karate tournament,’ Akshay, a black-belt in martial arts, posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Aarav won a gold medal for his kicks, and a silver medal each for his squats and combat fighting. Though Akshay’s genes could well be the reason behind Aarav’s accomplishment, the actor credits his wife Twinkle Khanna for their son’s success.

‘I must say that Aarav’s gold medal is all thanks to my wife. She gave him extra training everyday at home for the last one month and he thanked her with an outstanding gold medal in return. He may have my genes but he definitely has his mother’s fighting spirit,’ wrote Akshay.

Akshay and Twinkle tied the knot in 2001, and Akshay is still quite vocal about his love for her.

‘Tina (Twinkle’s real name) I love you and I’m so proud of our son,’ he tweeted.

One wonders if later Aarav will take the Bollywood route to fulfil his love for action, just as his father did with films like ‘Khiladi’ and ‘Mohra’.

Is Ranbir Kapoor Still In Love With Deepika Padukone?

The Ranbir Kapoor – Deepika Padukone love story does not seem to reach its end anytime soon in the future. Leggy lass Deepika may have vented her anger sitting on Karan Johar’s couch and subsequently changed relationships among many within the Bollywood fraternity, but Ranbir Kapoor is unfazed. And if his attitude towards Deepika Padukone is anything to go by, the Kapoor lad is also in the mood of reconciliation!

Though this may sound unbelievable, Ranbir Kapoor was reportedly spotted in front of Deepika Padukone’s building on several occasions following the popular ‘Koffee With Karan’ spat. Reports in the media claim that Ranbir Kapoor was photographed in front of the Cozy Home Apartments building where Deepika Padukone puts up in Mumbai in the late hours of the night. According to these reports, Ranbir Kapoor could be seen repeatedly calling up Deepika Padukone and urging the security guard of the building to allow him to enter his ex girlfriend’s home. However, the guard on duty could not do so because according to a rule of the Cozy Home Apartments, anybody is not allowed to enter without the permission from the owners!

So did Ranbir Kapoor move away a loser? Not at all, in true filmy style, the Kapoor boy stood adamant in front of Deepika Padukone’s house constantly ringing her to receive access. A source who was present in the area when the incident took place at around 12.45 am in the night has said in a statement to the media that he overheard Ranbir Kapoor pleading to Deepika Padukone to let him enter her home so that he may be able to explain his situation. Well, we are not really sure what he had to explain considering that he has already spoilt his image by admitting that he really cheated on former girlfriend Deepika during his chat on ‘Koffee With Karan’.

Last heard, Deepika Padukone did let him enter when he refused to stop creating a fuss but not after more than half an hour of public drama. Did they kiss and make up inside? Watch this space for more!

‘Tees Maar Khan’ more Shirish’s film: Farah Khan

Farah Khan is busy promoting her film ‘Tees Maar Khan’ but the filmmaker gives the entire credit of the Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer to husband Shirish Kunder.

‘Shirish has eight credits in the film. It is actually his film. I have just executed his thoughts. Even a few train sequences have been directed by him,’ Farah told IANS.

Kunder is the producer, writer, background score composer and lyricist among other responsibilties for ‘Tees Maar Khan’, which is slated to hit the screens Dec 24.

Shahid, Priyanka on ‘Koffee With Karan’!

 

Filmmaker Karan Johar has actually managed to get Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra to make an appearance together on his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’.

Karan wrote on microblogging site Twitter: ‘On my way to have a cup of ‘koffee’ with Shahid and Priyanka!!’

Rumours have long been doing the rounds about Shahid and Priyanka’s on-off relationship ever since the two rocked as a pair in ‘Kaminey’. So will their appearance on Karan’s chat show together put an end to the rumours surrounding their relationship status?

Rani Mukerji: Will Be Happy If No One Killed Jessica Gets ‘A’ Certificate

The release date of ‘No One Killed Jessica’ is fast approaching and the cast and crew of the film are busy promoting the upcoming Bollywood venture. Knowing that her middle finger act has raised a lot of eyebrows, Rani Mukerji does not mind if her upcoming film on the real life story based on the murder of Jessica Lal is awarded an adult certificate by the censor board in India. In fact, Rani Mukerji has said in a statement to the media that she will be very happy if her upcoming film gets an adult certificate!

The actress plays a crime reporter in the film and according to what Rani Mukerji has said in her interviews to the media, it is only her character in the film which does not have any connection to the real life incident surrounding Delhi based model Jessica Lal. Rani Mukerji’s fictional character, Meera, signifies how aggressive the media in India can be and how at times they can take up the reins of justice in their own hands. The bold and fearless attitude of Meera was what attracted Rani Mukerji towards the role and she agreed to play it for the big screen.

Joining Rani Mukerji in ‘No One Killed Jessica’ is actress Vidya Balan. She plays Jessica Lal’s real life sister Sabrina in the film. The title of the film and its incidents are inspired from an article in The Times Of India after the accused in the Jessica Lal murder case were acquitted in the year 2006.

Abhishek Bachchan: The Acid Test With The Release Of ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’

Abhishek Bachchan is the actor in B town who is right on an acid test with the release of the Ashutosh Gowarikar flick ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’.

Abhishek has had quite a trying time with his not so blooming career in films in recent times. The actor has appeared in this period film in a very asserting role of a protagonist named Surjya Sen who becomes the inspiration behind a group of youngsters into joining the freedom movement.

The most inspiring tale in history has been dealt with in the film as the Chittagong uprising during the 1930’s has been used as the basic backdrop of the film.

Abhishek Bachchan, who had been bestowed with quite a lot of critical acclaim for his role in Guru, has never really been able to reach that level of popularity after that film. Thus with this powerful inspiring role as the historical character many hopes are pinned on the film to be well appreciated.

‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ is based on a book by Manini Chatterjee  titled Do or Die and every detail mentioned in the book has been followed to the hilt.

The movie is on the brink of being judged as its release has caused quite an interest. Abhishek Bachchan who is the protagonist school teacher in the film has a very big task on his shoulders to inspire 50 youngsters in the film to go for the simultaneous attack that was planned against the British in five different places during a single night. The plot is quite interesting and so is the backdrop.

Let’s just hope Abhishek’s work in the film speaks about his great talent as an actor and he stands out and through this film to prove his prowess as an experienced actor from Bollywood.

Priyanka Chopra:The Challenging Role In ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’

Priyanka Chopra ,the hot shot gal in tinsel town who has the big project ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’,a  Vishal Bharadwaj flick amongst her upcoming projects has done considerably well in the movie as the woman who marries seven different men, killing  them one after the other.

The movie has her in a very different role of an ambitious lady who aspires to be quite independent in her thoughts and actions. There have been reports of Priyanka saying that this film has been one of the toughest ever for her in terms of performance.

If the grapevine is to be believed, the challenging role in the movie has Priyanka in her best performance on screen till date.

This is not the first time that Priyanka has played a character which is somewhat of a challenge. According to reports, the director who has her movie Tees Maar Khan soon to be released has some of the best numbers in it. The music in the movie has been given by the popular music composers of Bollywood, Vishal- Shekhar.

This duo has a very good rapport with the director and they have delivered their goods in the right perspective in the film.

The music duo have gone on to say that their music for the songs in the film becoming such a rage is due to the fact that the director Farah Khan kept wanting a new and catchy tune each time they came up with something. Farah Khan’s instant gut feeling has inspired Vishal- Shekhar and they insist that she had a lot to do with the ultimate soundtrack of Tees Maar Khan, which has turned out to be astounding.

Thus when ultimately the soundtracks for the songs did get finalized they were all much better than expected.
