Emma Brit Waldron from Ireland became the third European contestant this year to enter the semifinal round after she was selected as the most talented contestant during Talent Fast Track held at Crowne Plaza Hotel. She won the competition by a violin performance, which earned standing ovation from the audience. Wales won the second place by performing an operatic song while Guadeloupe won the third place by performing baton twirling routine.
A total of 20 semifinalists were chosen after a series of preliminary audition to perform in the final round. They performed an amazing range of talent, including dancing, singing, puppet act, magic act, and martial arts showcase. The judges initially cut the number of candidates into Top 10 finalists before announcing the Top 3 best talent winners.
Talent itself has always been a part of Miss World competition since a long time ago, but it first became a Fast Track event in 2003. Most of the winning talent so far is singing with only 3 exceptions, Ghana with a pantomime act in 2007, Sierra Leone with a mask changing dance performance in 2009, and this year Ireland with a violin performance.
