I am a semi pro photographer based in London. I shoot a variety of subjects but my favourite one has to be people. I have been working more with studio lighting this past year.
I am currently using a Canon 5D Mark 2 with a 24mm-70mm F2.8 lens, Canon 100mm Macro, Canon 70-200mm F2.8 IS Telephoto, Sigma 12-24mm F4 Ultrawide and a Lensbaby. I also carry around a Panasonic Lumix LX3, which is really good for a small camera. I use Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS4 to process my photos.
I see flickr as a photosharing site. I really enjoy the community aspect of it. I put personal snaps as well as commercial work on my photostream. I add people as contacts when I find their photos interesting. If you add me as a contact, I usually reciprocate.
If I block some people on flickr, they usually belong to one of the following categories:
1) people with no photos at all
2) people with just stolen photos and have none of their own
3) people who only use flickr for their porn collection
To me, these people are not contributing to the community.
