It was a bright wednesday, 10th November 2010, when Indonesian Pageants Team had a chance to come to the Welcome Dinner of Mister International 2010. The watch on hand showed exactly 6 pm when IP Team arrived at Balaikota, the place where the Welcome Dinner were being held. Not to waste any time, IP Team took the elevator to the 22nd floor and found out that the contestants were already there and were signing on the registration book. After the Misters have been seated, It's time to took their pictures!

From the official 50 country that were planned to participate this year, only 41 contestant that have already arrived in Indonesia. One country, Thailand backed off on the last minutes due to worrisome of Mount Merapi eruption. The rest are still expected to arrived soon. Yeah, the show must go on! Sharply at 7 pm, The ceremony started with opening dance, Manis Renggong dance! Finally it was dinner time!! The misters seemed to be hungry already for when the host announced that they could start the dinner, they rushed to the buffet table. The foods themselves were a mixed of traditional Indonesian food and western food. Some of them were chicken satai, beef soto, and wedang jahe. Mr. Belgium who were right next to IP team in the queque asked "what is this?" while pointing at wedang jahe. IP team tried to explain that it was a drink made from ginger and can make your body hot. "Hey, but I'm already hot" Mr. Belgium continued and then laughed.
While enjoying the dinner, The contestants were entertained with duo female singers. And it was not taking a long time, until some of the contestant join the singers on stage, dancing and singing together! Some misters from Latin Amerika even do the salsa dance on the stage. It was very exciting yet funny! Finally the host called the rest of the misters who seemed to have finished their meal and then everybody dancing, following the jazz, latin, and dangdut rythms. Music and dance, it is indeed the universal language that can be understood by everyone. What a beautiful way to end the night...
